Aaron Hicks seems seriously concerned about his elbow injury
Aaron Hicks seems seriously concerned about the elbow injury he is facing.
Hicks left the second game of the New York Yankees’ doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox Saturday night after injuring his elbow on a throw to third base.
Here is the throw Hicks got injured on. Was a nice throw.

Hicks was replaced in the eighth inning by pinch-hitter Brett Gardner. He is set to undergo an MRI.
After the game, Hicks said he had never had an elbow issue before and was concerned.
Aaron Hicks said that he has never had an elbow issue before tonight. He is trying to stay positive but said that any injury with the elbow is obviously concerning.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone also seemed worried about Hicks’ status.

Hicks is batting .229 with a .759 OPS. He has not been as effective this year as he was the past two seasons for the Yankees. The Yankees may look to call up Clint Frazier if Hicks goes on the injured list.
