Andrew Romine apologized to Manny Machado for hitting him with pitch
Andrew Romine has repeatedly apologized to Manny Machado for hitting him with a pitch during Sunday’s game between the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Romine, whose primary position is not pitcher, entered the game in the top of the ninth inning with the Dodgers leading 9-1. After giving up a three-run home run to Justin Turner, Romine hit Machado on the wrist with a pitch. Romine reportedly apologized to Machado several times for hitting him.

Hopefully, Machado is indeed okay and is able to escape a serious injury. Romine, who has played first base, second base, shortstop, third base, left field, and center field for the Mariners this season, was pitching for the second time in three games on Sunday.
