Chris Sale seems excited to join Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox acquired starting pitcher Chris Sale in a trade on Tuesday, and the left-hander does not seem disappointed to be leaving the Chicago White Sox.
Shortly after news of the deal broke, Sale posed for a photo with a big smile on his face and someone holding a Red Sox logo in front of him.

There are a lot of reasons this is not a surprise. For starters, the Red Sox won the AL East last year and were a playoff team, although they did get swept by the Cleveland Indians in the ALDS. Still, they were infinitely better than the 78-84 White Sox, who have been one of the bottom two teams in the AL Central for the past four seasons.
Then there’s the drama. In what ended up being one of the most unbelievable stories of the 2016 season, Sale threw a fit and cut up some throwback uniforms with a pair of scissors because he was so furious with the team caring so much about them. Months before that, he publicly criticized his bosses for the way they treated former first baseman Adam LaRoche and his family.
Sale probably wanted out of Chicago for a lot of reasons.
