George Springer is latest Astro with injury issue
George Springer became the latest member of the Houston Astros with an injury concern when he was forced to leave Tuesday’s game early.
During the first inning of Houston’s game against the Seattle Mariners, Springer dove in an attempt to cut off a ball that was driven into the gap by Denard Span. After reaching his feet, Springer stretched his left shoulder and appeared to be in some discomfort.

Springer later left the game with what the Astros called “shoulder soreness.”
From the clubhouse: Springer exited with left shoulder soreness; further evaluation tomorrow.

The Astros are currently without the services of Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa, who are both on the disabled list with their own injuries. They are hoping Springer does not join them.
