The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency’s social media account called out the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday in response to a post made by the team via X.
The Dodgers shared a post on X to suggest that they are not aligned with the agency and its latest efforts.
“This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled,” the team wrote on X.
“False. We were never there,” ICE wrote in response.

The Department of Homeland Security also responded.
“This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement,” the department wrote on X.

The matter of ICE agents carrying out deportation efforts has been a controversial one. President Donald Trump announced his intention early in his second presidency to enforce immigration laws. There have been protests in various cities around the country in recent weeks. In Los Angeles, Calif., riots broke out, and Trump sent in the National Guard to quell matters, though critics felt that inflamed the situation.
Some have called for the Dodgers to make a statement. Though they initially avoided the political matter, they sent out their statement on Thursday.
