Brewers’ Jeremy Jeffress clarifies his comment about Dodgers getting ‘lucky’
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Jeremy Jeffress clarified his comment about the Los Angeles Dodgers getting “lucky” against him.
Jeffress blew a 3-1 lead in Game 2 of the NLCS on Saturday by walking in a run and then giving up a 2-run home run to Justin Turner. After the game, he said the Dodgers were “lucky.”
A day later, Jeffress addressed the postgame remarks on Twitter. He said the home run was not lucky, but the “cheap hits before” were.
To set things straight. One lost doesn’t define my ability. And a homerun is never lucky. I was referring to the cheap hits before. Everyone are professionals here. Except the ones who criticize. Thanks have a blessed day

Chris Taylor reached on an infield single before Turner’s big 2-run home run, and Joc Pederson also had a ball fall in for a hit, so that’s probably to what Jeffress is referring.
Regardless, talking trash after your opponent has bested you isn’t a great look. He might just be frustrated about the difficulties he’s endured in the postseason after being so nails in the regular season.
Jeremy Jeffress is a huge part of the Brewers' success, but he's finding himself on the wrong end of things in the postseason. Of opponents' 11 runs so far in the NLDS and NLCS, eight have scored with Jeffress on the mound.
