Jerry Seinfeld not happy Bobby Ojeda no longer Mets analyst
For years, Jerry Seinfeld has been a fan of the Mets, but not just the team on the field. The famous comedian is also quite fond of the pregame and postgame shows. Perhaps, he won’t be as much anymore.
SNY, the network that broadcasts Mets games, announced a change in the studio crew. An agreement on a new contract could not be reached with one-time Mets pitcher Bobby Ojeda, who spent six seasons as an analyst. Ojeda will be replaced by another another former Mets pitcher, Nelson Figueroa.
“Getting to play for them during a 19-year journey that’s taken me all around the world and now coming full circle back to New York to cover this team is truly amazing,” Figueroa said via the New York Daily News.
While Figueroa is understandably excited about the opportunity, Seinfeld took the development a different way, as we can see by this tweet.

While Jerry Seinfeld may not be ecstatic about this change, he should be optimistic for the outlook of the Mets. Matt Harvey will be back from Tommy John surgery to anchor a pitching rotation that includes Zack Wheeler and 2014 National League Rookie of the Year Jacob deGrom. Add a healthy David Wright, Lucas Duda, Gold Glove center fielder Juan Lagares, and the addition of Michael Cuddyer and there should be enough to turn Seinfeld’s frown upside down.
