Justin Verlander sends funny tweet after Justin Upton trade
Breaking up is hard to do. Justin Verlander knows all about it.
The Detroit Tigers continued their rebuild on Thursday by trading Justin Upton and some cash to the Angels for two players. Not long after the deal went through, Upton posted a photo on Twitter showing him in his new Angels uniform and colors.

The new image was too much for Verlander to handle, who humorously tweeted this response:
Too soon…. https://t.co/jjGaZOPU7y

This was only Upton’s second season with the Tigers, but it’s clear he made an impression on his teammates. He was having a fine season in Detroit with 28 home runs and a .904 OPS. It’s not easy for anyone to see good players go. Though Verlander should be careful, because he could be traded away at some point in the future too.
