Pete Rose’s cause of death has been revealed
Pete Rose was found dead on Monday at his home in Las Vegas, and the cause of the Hit King’s death has been revealed.
The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner in Nevada has revealed that Rose died of natural causes related to his heart. The autopsy showed Rose had Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, along with a “significant condition of Diabetes Mellitus.”
Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease is a chronic disease that occurs when plaque builds up in the walls of arteries. Diabetes is a condition that results when there is too much sugar in one’s blood stream.

Rose’s death was unexpected.
According to a post from his agent, Rose had attended a meet-and-greet event in Nashville, Tenn. on Sunday. TMZ Sports reports that Rose was in a wheelchair because his back was hurting him.
The Hit King was found by a family member dead at his home at the age of 83.
Rose played in MLB from 1963-1986. He won NL Rookie of the Year in 1963 and NL MVP in 1973. He led the NL in batting average three times, on-base percentage twice, doubles five times, runs scored four times, and hits seven times. Rose retired as, and remains, MLB’s all-time leader in hits (4,256), games (3,562), at-bats (14,053) and plate appearances (15,890). Rose won two Gold Gloves, three World Series, and he was a World Series MVP.
