Pete Rose was found dead on Monday at his home in Las Vegas, and the cause of the Hit King’s death has been revealed.

The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner in Nevada has revealed that Rose died of natural causes related to his heart. The autopsy showed Rose had Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, along with a “significant condition of Diabetes Mellitus.”

Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease is a chronic disease that occurs when plaque builds up in the walls of arteries. Diabetes is a condition that results when there is too much sugar in one’s blood stream.
