If Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Roniel Raudes ever makes his way to the major leagues, hitters are going to have to study up to prepare for his insane pre-pitch routine.
MLB reporter Keith Law captured of video of Raudes on the mound in spring training, and it shows the 19-year-old’s incredibly unique delivery. We can’t even describe it, so just have a look for yourself:
From a hitter’s perspective, you basically just have to ignore that first part. The weird ritual comes before the actual wind-up, so it’s not as if the delivery is as deceiving as the one we saw from this MLB reliever last season. Still, Raudes’ little dance maneuver is enough to make you do a double-take.
