Tim Tebow to begin season at Double-A
Tim Tebow had a horrendous spring training that resulted in him failing to make the first cut with the New York Mets’ big league squad, but he is still getting a promotion from where he was at last season.
On Monday, the Mets announced that Tebow will begin the season at Double-A Binghamton.

Tebow went 1-for-18 with 11 strikeouts in spring training with the Mets, so there will be plenty of people who question why he isn’t being sent back to Class-A. After all, Tebow only hit .226 across two levels of Class-A ball last year.
Of course, we have already seen examples of how good Tebow is for business with the Mets, so it would not be a surprise if that is a factor. Port St. Lucie drew some great crowds with Tebow in the lineup, and the same should be true when the 30-year-old plays games in Binghamton.
