This is a terrible break for the Celtics.
Boston entered the game 6-1 and Hayward had been playing great. He was averaging 20.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 56.4 percent from the field.
Hayward has had some terrible luck since signing with Boston two seasons ago. He suffered a horrific leg injury in his Celtics debut, missed the rest of the season, and was not himself last season. He finally was doing great this season and then got injured in the team’s eighth game.
