Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr sounded a bit more optimistic about Kevin Durant’s recovery from a calf injury on Friday.
Kerr said that Durant is “coming along well,” and the Warriors remain confident that he will be back at some point before the end of the playoffs.
Kerr remains optimistic about KD’s recovery
“This one is taking a little bit longer than the ones he’s had in the past but that’s OK. He’s coming along well and if he continues to improve at the rate he’s improving now, we’re confident that he’ll be back. We just don’t know when”— Nick Friedell (@NickFriedell) May 17, 2019
Kerr’s Thursday night update sounded a bit more negative, but it sounds like Durant may finally be making some progress in his recovery. He won’t play before a potential Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at the earliest, but it does sound like Durant will play, even if it doesn’t happen before the NBA Finals.
