The Los Angeles Lakers are still winless on the season after falling to the Golden State Warriors 127-104 Saturday night. After the game, Kobe Bryant offered a great response to a question regarding his team’s start.
Bryant was asked if it bothered him that the Lakers are 0-4. His reply (2:24 mark of video) was about what you would expect.
“No, it doesn’t bother me. I’m festively jovial about it.”
If you’re asking Kobe that question after a loss in which Los Angeles got blitzed in the fourth quarter the way they did after trailing just seven heading into it, you can’t be expecting an answer much different than this one. Bryant certainly obliged.
This likely won’t be the only four-game losing streak the Lakers will endure this season and with a roster short on talent, losses will pile up in a hurry. As a result, Kobe should be good for a few memorable sound bites over the next six months as frustration mounts for the ultra-competitive Bryant. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
