Shaquille O’Neal just made the viral Indiana Pacers fans even more famous.
During the final day of the 2025-26 NBA regular season, Shaq and the “Inside the NBA” crew talked to Michael and Grace, who are getting their 15 minutes following a hilarious conversation caught on camera by the Pacers’ FanDuel Sports Network broadcast during last Thursday’s game between the Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Michael revealed that he was discussing “the academic rigor of a liberal arts education” in the viral video.
O’Neal, however, was more interested in playing a big role in taking Michael’s relationship with Grace to the next level.
The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man offered to buy the engagement ring if Michael proposed to Grace during the show.
“I’ll tell you what, if you ask her to marry you right now, I’ll buy the engagement ring,” the Basketball Hall of Famer said. “Do it right now, (and) I’ll buy the ring.”

Michael did not take up the offer but said he’d do it if O’Neal and the Inside the NBA crew gave him their word that they would be at the wedding.
