Report: Spurs ‘lasered in’ on Pau Gasol
With Kevin Durant out of the picture, the San Antonio Spurs are reportedly on to a new top target.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Spurs are “lasered in” on free agent big man Pau Gasol.
The Spurs are lasered in now on signing Pau Gasol, sources say, which obviously becomes even more crucial if Tim Duncan elects to walk away

Even though Gasol turns 36 on Wednesday, he’s still a very useful big man. He averaged a double-double for Chicago last season, and he would be a solid piece for the Spurs frontcourt.
San Antonio’s urgency could, as Stein notes, be accelerated amidst reports that Tim Duncan is leaning toward retirement. The Spurs are reportedly trying to fend off interest from the Toronto Raptors to acquire Gasol.
