Stephen Curry has remained without a shoe deal since mutually agreeing to part ways with Under Armour in November, and it seems that the Golden State Warriors superstar point guard is still taking his sweet time in sneaker free agency.
On Sunday, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player showed up to work at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., against the visiting Atlanta Hawks wearing a pair of Caitlin Clark’s Nike Kobe 6 Player Exclusive (PE).

It was not the first time the greatest shooter in NBA history wore Nikes in a game after his Under Armour phase, but it also does not explicitly signify that he favors the swoosh-branded company. At the same time, it’s a welcome sight for Nike.
In any case, the Caitlin Clark PEs seemed to have a positive impact on Curry during the Hawks game, as he scored 31 points on 11-for-21 shooting from the floor, though he also went just 3-for-11 from behind the arc. Plus, Golden State suffered a 124-111 loss to the new-look Hawks, who played their second game since trading Trae Young to the Washington Wizards.
The Warriors will look to get back to their winning ways Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers at Chase Center, with Curry’s shoe choice adding an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup.
