Early in the day on Thursday, the Twitter world went crazy when it was noticed the official account for the Dallas Mavericks was following Rajon Rondo. Speculation was abundant the Mavs were close to acquiring the four-time All-Star.
As it turns out, that’s exactly what happened as Rondo was shipped to Dallas for players and draft picks.
Prior to the trade being announced by both teams, the Phoenix Suns’ social media team decided to seize the moment and have a little fun with the buzz surrounding the Mavericks following Rondo. The above picture was posted on the Suns Twitter account along with “Look who we just followed. Draw your own conclusions.”
Markieff Morris has played well for the Suns this season at power forward, but the 6’5″ 215-lb Moon could serve as added depth.
