Australian boxer Lucas Browne was taken to the hospital on Saturday night after suffering a brutal knockout loss to Dillian Whyte in their heavyweight fight at The O2 Arena in London.
Browne was dropped to the canvas after a huge left hook by Whyte early in the sixth round of their WBC Silver title fight. The way he laid face down on the canvas after the knockout was an extremely concerning sign.

Browne was knocked out for the count and suffered his first career loss. But the bigger concern was about his health. The 38-year-old was taken to Royal London hospital and was doing “OK” according to Main Event TV’s Ben Damon.
Lucas Browne is still at Royal London hospital. He’s ok, just unhappy. Waiting on a CT scan. Nose isn’t broken. Stitches in the cut #WhyteBrowne

Former boxer Ricky Hatton also shared seemingly positive news on Browne.
Just to let everyone know @lucasBrowne is ok.waiting for a scan at the moment but sitting up and talking. So hoping everything is ok.

The updates are encouraging given how bad Browne looked in the ring following the knockout.
