Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley is used to handling high-pressure situations, but the sounds of a cat threw him off his game during Monday’s press conference.
Riley was handling business as usual with the media when abruptly and without explanation, the loud meow of a cat interrupted proceedings.

No, we have no idea where the cat noise was coming from. Riley’s comment about being undeterred by 90,000 fans but rattled by some meowing really sums up the incident well, though.
Press conferences interrupted by ill-timed phone calls? Unusual, but in the grand scheme of things, not extremely uncommon. Press conferences interrupted by animal noises? That’s a treat you don’t get very often.
