Jackson is ranked as the No. 5 running back in his class and No. 81 player overall by 247Sports. He chose the Buckeyes over Alabama and Georgia, among other programs.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Jackson is a star at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio. His real name is Lamar Jackson Jr., and ESPN’s Eli Lederman notes that Jackson adopted the nickname “Bo” at a young age as a direct nod to the legendary former MLB and NFL star Bo Jackson.
Jackson is the first running back to commit to Ohio State for the Class of 2025, but the Buckeyes have a star-studded class that is viewed as one of the best in the country.
