Adrian Peterson’s search for a new home continues, with his recent workout partner apparently not enough to get his foot in the door with a potential suitor.
According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, there is pretty much no chance Peterson ends up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, despite the fact that the running back has been working out with Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston.
Stroud thinks the Bucs are much more likely to assess running backs in the draft rather than take a chance on the injury-prone and possibly expensive Peterson, even in spite of Doug Martin’s PED suspension.
There was some speculation, particularly after this Dirk Koetter quote, that Peterson could wind up in Tampa Bay’s plans. Perhaps that’s what Peterson wanted, but it doesn’t sound like that will be happening.
