Corey Graham calls out Mario Williams, says Bills are ‘all over the place’
The Buffalo Bills have lost four of their last five games and are officially out of playoff contention. To say that they are not handling adversity well would be a bit of an understatement.
Highly-paid defensive lineman Mario Williams has been critical of Rex Ryan’s defensive scheme and may want to be released or traded. On Tuesday, Bills defensive back Corey Graham added some negative thoughts of his own when discussing Buffalo’s system.
Corey Graham: "We're all over the place. We're all over the place, we don't know what's going on half the time."

Corey Graham: "We're not going to win because we're not good right now."

Graham’s comments seemed more like a knock on the team as a whole rather than the job Ryan has done. In fact, he came to Ryan’s defense when discussing Williams’ public complaints.
“One thing I can say about Rex, he’s a smart guy. Very, very bright guy,” Graham said, per Matthew Fairburn of Syracuse.com. “He knows defense. He know what to do, what not to do. You just have to find your place, find your place in this scheme and find out what you need to do.
“We’re not going to sugarcoat it, (Williams) wants to rush the quarterback. When you ask him to do something he’s not comfortable doing, it’s tough for him. But as a professional as a defensive guy, you just have to go out there, do your job, do what they ask you to do and do it to the best of your ability.”
It’s highly unlikely that the Bills will fire Ryan after one year, and Williams is probably being paid too much anyway. When you read the stuff he has been saying all season, it’s clear he wants out. We’d be surprised if he doesn’t get his wish.
