Dez Bryant is not expected to play on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, but Dallas Cowboys fans should not panic about the star wide receiver’s knee injury.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the hairline fracture Bryant suffered in last weekend’s game is commonly referred to as a “bone bruise.” While Dez could end up being held out through Week 6, there is optimism he will be back on the field sooner.

What does this mean for #Cowboys WR Dez Bryant? While it’s possible he’s out 3 weeks, the expectation is its shorter than that.

Bryant was so terrified that his knee injury was serious that he basically went AWOL earlier in the week, but his fears were unwarranted. He should be back on the field in the near future, though the team’s concerns about his behavior may be a bigger issue to monitor.
