The Philadelphia Eagles have officially decided on a new offensive coordinator to replace Kellen Moore.
The Eagles announced Wednesday that they have promoted Kevin Patullo to offensive coordinator. Patullo, 43, had served as the Eagles’ pass game coordinator and associate head coach for the last two seasons. He initially joined the Eagles in 2021, the same year that Nick Sirianni became the team’s head coach.
Despite only being 43 like Sirianni, Patullo has plenty of experience as a coach. He began as a graduate assistant with South Florida and then Arizona before getting a break and joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007 as an offensive assistant and quality control coach. Patullo then jumped to the Bills, Titans and Jets, and he coached for a year at Texas A&M.

Patullo served as the Indianapolis Colts’ wide receivers coach from 2018-2019 and was their pass game specialist in 2020. Sirianni was the Colts’ offensive coordinator for those three seasons, and he took Patullo with him when he got hired by Philly for the 2021 season.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked a few days ago about the possibility of Patullo becoming the new offensive coordinator. He said he had “a lot of confidence” in Patullo.
After losing Moore to the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles reportedly did not do an extensive search for a replacement. Patullo is described as Sirianni’s “right-hand man.”
This will be Patullo’s first time calling plays at any level as a coach.
