Report reveals how much money Sean McVay could make in TV
Sean McVay is in line for a significant raise from the Los Angeles Rams, but it sounds like a career change would allow him to fulfill his real earning potential.
There was a lot of talk leading up to the Super Bowl that McVay could leave the Rams this offseason and explore television jobs. McVay did not exactly throw cold water on the rumors. The 36-year-old was asked about his future during Super Bowl week and acknowledged that he would like to be able to dedicate more time to starting a family at some point.
According to Peter King of NBC Sports, McVay could secure a massive contract if he wanted to work as an NFL analyst. One source told King that McVay would make more than $15 million per year in such a role.
McVay is still one of the youngest coaches in the NFL, and he has already taken the Rams to the Super Bowl twice in five years. He clearly deserves to be one of the highest-paid coaches in the league. While the thought of making more than $15 million per year to work less has to be enticing, McVay’s fiancee recently seemed to put the retirement rumors to rest.
