Isaiah Spiller has reason for mediocre NFL Combine showing
Isaiah Spiller did not make much of a splash at the NFL Combine, but according to his agent, there is an explanation for that.
Spiller has been battling a strained abductor muscle, according to agent Rocky Arceneaux. The running back will take part in Texas A&M’s pro day in two weeks in a bid to ease concerns about his combine showing.
Texas A&M RB Isaiah Spiller went through drills this week despite nursing a strained abductor muscle that limited his training, per his agent Rocky Arceneaux. Spiller will run at A&M’s pro day in two weeks to, in the words of Arceneaux, “show why he should be the first RB taken.”

Spiller chose not to run the 40-yard dash at the combine, and his vertical and broad jump tests did not stand out. The consensus was that Spiller did not do himself any favors in his bid to be the first running back off the board in April’s draft.
Along with Kenneth Walker III and Breece Hall, Spiller is viewed as one of the best backs in the draft. He is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns for the Aggies.
