It’s going to be all hands on deck for the Kansas City Chiefs if they want to pull off the road upset against the New England Patriots on Sunday. But fortunately, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin may be one of those hands after all.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid called Maclin’s high-ankle sprain “mild” on Tuesday, saying that the Pro Bowl wideout could even return to practice later this week, per Bob Holtzman of ESPN.

Maclin was injured in the third quarter of Saturday’s Wild Card win over the Houston Texans and was forced to exit the game. While he was originally believed to have suffered a serious knee injury, but an MRI revealed a high-ankle sprain instead, and Maclin has been trending in a positive direction ever since.
The 27-year-old finished the regular season with 1,008 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. As the Chiefs’ top aerial target, they will need everything they can get from Maclin on Saturday as they look to knock off the defending Super Bowl champions.
