We’re a long way away from any resolution, but one team keeps coming up in chatter about Le’Veon Bell’s next destination.
Bleacher Report’s Michael Freeman spoke with ten NFL personnel sources, six of whom said they felt Bell was bound for the Jets next season. One source close to the Pittsburgh Steelers even called it a “foregone conclusion.”
Betting odds reflect this as well. Bovada’s new odds show the Jets as favorites in prop betting on Bell’s next team, according to OddsShark.
The Jets are likely to have ample cap space this offseason, and are badly in need of an impact player, especially one to pair with young quarterback Sam Darnold. They have the need and the ability to get something done, which is why it’s easy to see why they keep coming up.
As for Bell’s current team, he won’t be playing for Pittsburgh this year. In theory, it’s possible for him to come back, but the chances of that look to be almost nonexistent.
