Kansas City social media account apologizes for crossing line with Harrison Butker post
The official X account for the city of Kansas City, Missouri issued an apology over a post they shared that crossed the line.
On Wednesday, the KC account posted the name of the city where Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker lives. Yes, in an attempt to perhaps be humorous while distancing themselves from the kicker, the account revealed where Butker lives.
The official X account for Kansas City doxxed Harrison Butker’s home location.
It was not an “error”. Absolutely sickening. https://t.co/2nnDVceS0Q pic.twitter.com/55tqmUxAqO

The Kansas City X account deleted the post and issued an apology. Their apology was so sloppy that they even used the word “apologies” instead of “apologize.”
“We apologies (sic) for our previous tweet. It was shared in error,” the account wrote.
We apologies for our previous tweet. It was shared in error.

Missouri attorney general Andrew Bailey issued a response saying that his office was demanding accountability over the post.
BREAKING: My office is demanding accountability after@KansasCity doxxed @buttkicker7 last night for daring to express his religious beliefs.
I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion.
Stay tuned.

The Kansas City account apparently felt moved to join the wave of people and organizations that slammed Butker over the commencement speech the kicker gave at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas on Sunday.
In his speech, Butker shared his personal beliefs on many religious, political, and family issues, and he also criticized President Biden.
