The Arizona Cardinals used their first-round pick on a quarterback a year ago, but that may not stop them from going with another franchise quarterback at No. 1 this year.
According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, Murray, who is slated to meet with the Cardinals, is a “legitimate option” to be taken first overall.
The buzz is QB Kyler Murray is a legitimate option for the Cardinals at No. 1 overall. He said he is scheduled to meet with AZ this week.

This shouldn’t come as a huge shock. Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury loves Murray and will have a hard time passing up the opportunity to take him. It’s not great news for Josh Rosen, the tenth overall pick last year, and would likely lead to a trade there, but if the Cardinals believe a better quarterback is on the board for them, they will go that route.
