The New York Giants were expected to be a team active at the trade deadline, but instead the 1-7 squad didn’t make a move.
Safety Landon Collins was one of the players the team fielded calls on. He confirmed during an interview on “The Michael Kay Show” that teams were interested in him, but he was told the Giants were asking too much for him.
Landon Collins (on @TMKSESPN) said the Giants “were asking a little bit too much for me, so (teams) just kind of backed off.” … He heard the Giants wanted a first or second-round pick in 2019 plus a pick next year. https://t.co/aeQ1kbHesG

Knowing his team’s record, Collins said he was “very surprised” the team didn’t make any trades.
As for what teams were interested in him, Collins learned the 7-1 Kansas City Chiefs tried to trade for him.
Collins, 24, is in his fourth NFL season out of Alabama. He was an All-Pro in 2016 after intercepting five passes, recording four sacks, and making 125 combined tackles. Last year he struggled in coverage at times but he was still named to the Pro Bowl. He has 62 tackles in eight games this season.
