Marvin Lewis coy about potential Bengals staff changes
After a second consecutive dismal offensive performance to start the season, the Cincinnati Bengals are looking for answers on offense.
The Bengals managed just nine points against the Houston Texans on Thursday after a season-opening shutout against Baltimore, and questions are being asked of offensive coordinator Ken Zampese. Head coach Marvin Lewis was coy when asked about potential staff changes, but ruled nothing out and indicated that something had to change.
#Bengals Marvin Lewis: Says won't discuss any potential changes at OC. Asked three times, did not say any change coming at OC.

Frustrations were clearly piling up in the Bengals locker room, and some of it definitely seemed aimed at Zampese’s work. Lewis doesn’t sound eager to make a change at offensive coordinator, but if things don’t get better, his hand may be forced.
Lewis himself is in the final year of his contract, and there have been rumblings that he’s biding his time until retirement. If this keeps up, he won’t be back with the Bengals even if he wants to be.
