The only thing that can stop the Los Angeles Rams this season is injury. And they’re dealing with a few serious ones.
Cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters both got hurt in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. While Peters’ calf injury is just a strain and does not appear serious, Talib’s is worse.
Talib could need surgery on his ankle.
Sean McVay says Aqib Talib will get a 2nd opinion on his ankle but that he’ll probably need surgery. The Rams are hopeful that he’ll be back at some point this season.

The man known as “Pro Football Doc” on Twitter says this is a sign of the severest high ankle sprain, which could cost Talib a good chunk of the season.
Surgery means this is the severest of high ankle sprains with ligament tear without associated fracture. Could easily mean season, chance of IR with late season return. https://t.co/kOfTXSXJpg

Sam Shields, Nickell Robey-Coleman and Troy Hill are the other cornerbacks on the Rams’ roster.
