Redskins reportedly trade Su’a Cravens to Broncos
Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden indicated earlier this month that Su’a Cravens is not on the trade block, but it would seem as though he was not being truthful.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Cravens has been traded to the Denver Broncos in a deal that involves the swapping of some draft picks and the Redskins getting an extra fifth-rounder.
Denver is swapping fourth- and fifth-round picks, and giving another 5th-round pick with Washington in exchange for safety Su’a Cravens, per source. Cravens is a Bronco.

So Denver’s trade for former Washington safety Su’a Cravens involves five draft picks, but the main one is a fifth-round pick that is going to the Redskins.

Cravens’ relationship with Washington has likely been strained, as the former second-round pick left the team early last season under some unusual circumstances and was placed on the reserve/left squad list. Gruden said at the time that Cravens was dealing with personal issues as rumors swirled that he was contemplating retirement. Back in December, Cravens’ agent released a statement indicating concussions were the issue.
Assuming he’s healthy both physically and mentally, Cravens should be a solid contributor in Denver’s secondary.
