Rex Ryan to become head coach of Bills
Rex Ryan is reportedly finalizing a deal to become the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Bills, who have interviewed 12 candidates since Doug Marrone made a surprising decision to opt out of his contract, held a second interview with Ryan on Saturday night. Rex had interviewed with several other teams for their head coaching vacancies, including the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers.
Ryan had also met with ESPN and CBS to discuss possible television analyst roles, but that was simply a fallback plan in case he could not land a head coaching job. Rex reportedly had no interest in being a defensive coordinator next season.
Does this mean the Bills already know that their offensive coordinator will be this quarterback guru? That would give them a pretty intriguing coaching staff.
