Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III could return to the field as early as Week 14, according to a report.
Griffin, who suffered a broken shoulder in Week 1, returned to practice last week but was not cleared for contact. ESPN’s Ed Werder said Tuesday that RG3 now has no restrictions, and Browns head coach Hue Jackson is planning to let him compete in practice to take back the starting job.

The Browns are on a bye in Week 13, which means Jackson will choose between Griffin, rookie Cody Kessler or veteran Josh McCown for Cleveland’s Week 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Griffin signed a two-year contract with the Browns this past offseason, so there’s a good chance Jackson envisions him being the starting quarterback in 2017. With the team currently winless after 12 games, there’s literally nowhere to go but up. The Browns might want to settle that theft incident involving RG3 and his girlfriend from last weekend, because it sounds like there’s a good chance Griffin is going to be their starter again.
