A new alleged incident involving Shannon Sharpe has come to light after a woman recently filed a lawsuit against the Hall of Fame tight end.

A woman filed a lawsuit in Nevada on Sunday in which she accuses Sharpe of assaulting her on multiple different occasions at the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025. The plaintiff says she was in an abusive relationship with Sharpe that began after the two met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023. The woman, who was later identified by Sharpe’s legal team as Gabriella Zuniga, is seeking more than $50 million in damages.

On Thursday, Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports reported on a separate alleged incident that involved Sharpe when Sharpe was still the co-host of “Undisputed” on FOX Sports 1. Sharpe was accused of choking a female production assistant while the two were at work.

There was no lawsuit filed, but a source told Glasspiegel that Sharpe paid the woman a six-figure settlement.

A representative for Sharpe denied that the 56-year-old choked anyone but acknowledged that there was an issue that had been resolved.

“There was no incident of choking involving Shannon on the FS1 set. On one occasion, he and a few colleagues were involved in some light physical interaction in a playful context,” the representative told Front Office Sports. “Fox Sports later chose to resolve the matter privately. For further details, we recommend contacting Fox directly.”

It is unclear when the alleged incident took place, but it was at some point during Sharpe’s run as co-host of “Undisputed” from 2016-2023.

Sharpe has vehemently denied all of the allegations from Zuniga and said the lawsuit is an attempted shakedown. He announced on Thursday that he is temporarily stepping away from ESPN but maintained his innocence.

Sharpe is also facing a lawsuit that was filed in 2023 by a woman who accused him of assaulting her when the two were in a relationship more than a decade ago. Sharpe was with CBS at the time and was placed on leave after the woman claimed Sharpe forced her to have sex with him.

In addition, Sharpe drew negative attention in September when he live-streamed audio of himself having sex with a woman. Though some thought Sharpe did so intentionally, he called it a mistake and said he was embarrassed.

Sharpe has been with ESPN as an analyst on “First Take” since he left FS1 in 2023. He also hosts his popular “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
