Steve Smith went down in the third quarter of his Baltimore Ravens’ game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday with what appeared to be a serious injury that the team later confirmed was a torn Achilles’ tendon.
The veteran wide receiver, who said this would be his last season, made a catch and darted towards the middle of the field. After he went down following a tackle, he grabbed his ankle/foot nearby where the Achilles’ tendon is:

The Ravens said Smith was doubtful to return with a foot injury. They later said he would be out for the season with the injury, sadly.
