Surprising report emerges about Jordan Love’s knee injury
Jordan Love was expected to miss multiple games after he suffered a knee injury in Week 1, but the Green Bay Packers quarterback reportedly has a chance to beat that timeline.
The Packers have not yet ruled out Love playing on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Green Bay is still taking a day-to-day approach with Love, but Schefter said he was told by a source that the source “wouldn’t be surprised if (Love) plays this week.”
Despite what was projected to be a 3-to-4 week absence due to his knee injury, there is a chance that Packers QB Jordan Love can make it back in time to start Sunday at the Titans. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays this week,” said one source. “It’s definitely day-by-day like… pic.twitter.com/O1sJ8M0Zmk

Even if Love does not play against the Titans, he is clearly trending in the right direction. The Packers chose not to place him on injured reserve with his MCL injury, which would have forced Love to sit for a minimum of four weeks. Love also appeared to take a big step toward his return on Wednesday.
With Love’s injury occurring so early in the season, the Packers are likely playing it safe with their franchise quarterback. The fact that there is even talk about Love returning after only a one-game absence says a lot.
Malik Willis started for Green Bay in last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, which the Packers won 16-10. They might be able to get away with the same type of run-heavy approach in Tennessee, but things should get tougher with a home date against the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
