Todd Gurley ruled out for Week 16
Running back Todd Gurley will be held out of the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Lindsey Thiry of ESPN was the first to report that Gurley, battling knee inflammation, would be inactive after he tried to warm up for Sunday’s game.

In other words, this is exactly what the Rams were anticipating and somewhat hoping for. They really shouldn’t need him to see off the lowly Cardinals, and they’re already well on their way to a potential first-round bye in the NFC playoffs. Risking more serious injury when they’re already preparing for a playoff run is not really something they feel the need to do. The biggest impact will probably come in the fantasy football playoffs, not on the field.
