Tom Brady hopes Colin Kaepernick gets another shot in NFL
Tom Brady almost always steers clear of controversial topics, but the four-time Super Bowl MVP has no problem sharing his opinion on the type of player Colin Kaepernick is.
In a portion of an interview with Norah O’Donnell of “CBS This Morning” that will air in its entirety Monday, Brady was asked if he believes Kaepernick will get another chance in the NFL. He had nothing but good things to say about the free agent quarterback.

“I sure hope so,” Brady said. “I’ve always watched him and admired him, the way that he’s played. He was a great young quarterback. He came to our stadium and beat us and took his team to the Super Bowl in 2012. He accomplished a lot in the pros as a player and he’s certainly qualified. I hope he gets a shot.”
When Brady was asked about Kaepernick’s national anthem protest recently, he had far less to say. However, it is clear he respects Kaepernick as a player and feels he is good enough to be on an NFL roster.
One NFL owner said this week that he was open to signing Kaepernick, but there has been a lot of talk about the 29-year-old being blacklisted because of his political views.
