Tom Brady is roughly a month away from becoming a free agent for the first time in his Hall of Fame career, and the quarterback continues to fuel the rumor mill — perhaps unintentionally — with his social media activity.
The Los Angeles Chargers are viewed by many as the most likely team to sign Brady if the 42-year-old leaves the New England Patriots. On Monday, the Chargers officially announced that they are parting ways with Philip Rivers, which of course paves the way for them to aggressively pursue Brady. He may have simply been showing support for Rivers, but Brady got Chargers fans excited when he “liked” an Instagram post about Rivers leaving LA.

Brady probably has too much respect for Rivers to drop hints about taking his job, so we would be surprised if there was some hidden message behind TB12’s “like.”
Then again, Brady has not shied away from trolling fans on Instagram recently over his uncertain future. There was also a recent report that claimed the Patriots consider the Chargers their only real threat in the Brady sweepstakes.
Even if Brady winds up back in New England, the buzz is in many ways just getting started.
