Tre Mason reportedly led police on ATV chase

Tre Mason

Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason reportedly led police on an ATV chase in the middle of the day last month.

According to TMZ, Mason was riding an ATV through Palm Beach, Fla., on July 27 when police spotted him not wearing protective gear and tearing up grass. Officers said Mason was “spinning the tires so the dirt and grass would shoot out on to [the nearby road]” and driving recklessly. When police tried to approach him, Mason allegedly blew by them at a high rate of speed.

Officers reportedly followed Mason back to his home, where he locked himself inside. A family member eventually convinced the 23-year-old to come outside and he was cited for driving an ATV on public roads and evading police. The ATV, which was unregistered, was towed away.

If our calculations are correct, that would be the sixth time since March that Mason had a run-in with police. Less than a week before the ATV incident, police reporteldy ordered Mason to undergo a psychological evaluation after he threw a tantrum at his home and said some incredibly bizarre things. Mason’s family has expressed concern for the former Auburn star’s mental health. He says he is not going to report to training camp.
