Trevor Siemian did enough to lead the Broncos to a win over the Houston Texans Monday night, but it was once again Denver’s defense that stole the show. And Von Miller clearly wanted the unit to be heaped in praise after the game.

In order to get the credit he was seeking, Miller crashed Siemian’s press conference and asked the quarterback a question.

“Were there any changes in preparation or the energy in practice or anything?” Miller asked.

Siemian was happy to give the reigning Super Bowl MVP what he was looking for.

“A lot of energy at practice,” Siemian said. “No. 58 on defense brought it every day. … I’m very thankful to have those guys pushing us every day in practice.”

Siemian completed 14 of 25 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown. Denver’s defense held the Texans to just 271 yards of total offense and three field goals.

The last time we saw someone pose as a reporter, the goal was to get secret information from an opponent. Miller was a bit more straightforward in his approach.
