Look, I’ve never met Anthony Kim so I can’t fairly comment on his off-course behavior, but I will say this about him: he seems like he would be a fun guy to party with. A day after it was reported that Kim went off on an f-bomb tirade while playing high-end craps at the Bellagio, the golfer pulled out of Justin Timberlake’s tournament. Kim was termed a “loose cannon” who was asked to tone it down at the Bellagio. We’re told the reason Kim withdrew from the tournament is his thumb has been bothering him.
While we know that Kim is recovering from thumb surgery that kept him out of action for a long period of time, it’s hard not to speculate that Kim leaving the tournament wasn’t related to the embarrassing press coverage he received. The real kicker came courtesy of Truth and Rumors which cited a tweet from a Palms hotel DJ saying: “Anthony Kim is an animal 115 bottles then to top it off a 25k bottle of Dom, which he showered the dance floor with…”
If Kim were targeting the Happy Gilmore fanbase, it looks like he’s accomplished his mission. In related news, this can’t be good for Las Vegas’ board of tourism. What happened to their infamous slogan?
