Ryan Lochte trying to trademark catch phrase ‘Jeah!’

August 17, 2012 by Steve DelVecchio • Comments

After watching the Olympics and listening to all the buzz surrounding the London Games, it is my understanding that Ryan Lochte has very few problems with the ladies. It is also my understanding that these ladies may only care about money, swimming and good looks. Otherwise, the deal would probably be off as soon as he opens his mouth. Take Lochte’s favorite catch phrase “Jeah!” for example.

According to TMZ.com, the US Swimmer has filed documents to trademark the phrase “Jeah!” so he can use it on sunglasses, workout DVDs, drinking glasses, playing cards, calendars and all sorts of merchandise. As you can see from the screenshot above that was taken from the store on his personal website, Lochte is already putting it to use.

In the video below from 2009, Lochte and his ridiculous hairstyle attempt to explain the phrase while admitting that he stole it directly from rapper Young Jeezy.

Get it? Reezy — Jeezy. Chea — Jeah. Now that’s what I call an original idea. Perhaps the reason Lochte’s mom said he only has time for one-night stands has nothing to do with him being too busy. It can’t take long to get sick of hearing a person say “Jeah!”
