Dwight Howard maybe actually possibly potentially finally headed to Lakers

The nation’s long-awaited Dwightmare may finally be over.

(Until David Stern cancels the trade.)

According to multiple sources with distinct knowledge of situations about insiders and future plans related to important information concerning certain disgruntled big men, Dwight Howard is headed to the Lakers in a four-team trade.

Here’s how the reported deal breaks down, according to multiple sources with distinct knowledge of the sources sources:

    Lakers: Dwight Howard
    76ers: Andrew Bynum, Jason Richardson
    Nuggets: Andre Iguodala
Magic: Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless, No. 1 pick from Philly

Denver saves money through the deal and actually seems to be doing fine by getting Iguodala. The Lakers finally get Howard, who despite not being recovered from back surgery is an upgrade over Andrew Bynum. Bynum is satisfied because as he said there’s a bank in every city. And Orlando gets the type of pieces back that should help them end up with a high draft pick so they can properly rebuild.

I still think the Heat are the title favorites despite the Lakers getting Dwight. The Lakers still have to beat Oklahoma City, and even Nash and Howard might not be enough for them to do that.

But what’s the best part of this trade? Howard may still test free agency after the season, so we all get to relive the Dwightmare! Remember, he wasn’t wild about going to the Lakers because he didn’t want to share the spotlight with Kobe. He could still leave for Dallas after the season if things don’t work out for him with the Lakers, which would be awesome.
