Lamar Odom is in his first season with the Clippers* and apparently his heart (or head) is still with the Lakers. While shooting an ad for the Clippers, he mistakenly said he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Who can really blame him? Odom played seven seasons for the Lakers and is most prominently identified with that team. He probably just said that out of habit, just like the way I recently wrote that Peyton Manning plays quarterback for the Colts before catching myself.
That’s alright, Lamar, the good news is you chose the right LA team to play for.
*The first season in his second stint with the team. He was drafted by the Clips and played the first four seasons of his career with the Clips.
