P. Diddy says he acted in self-defense in fight with UCLA’s Sal Alosi

P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, defended himself on Tuesday amid accusations that he attacked a UCLA strength and conditioning coach and swung a kettlebell at a football intern.

In a statement through one of his representatives, Diddy claimed he acted in self-defense when he got into a physical altercation at the UCLA athletic facility.

“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate,” Nathalie Moar, a rep for Combs Enterprises, told The Associated Press in a statement. “What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.”

The truth should not be difficult to attain, as campus police reportedly arrested Diddy after watching footage of the incident. Authorities felt they had enough to charge Combs with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats and one count of battery. Alosi reportedly had scratches on his face and a ripped shirt after the altercation.

Combs Enterprises, Diddy’s company, expressed confidence that the case will be dismissed when “the true facts are revealed.”

Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, is a redshirt junior defensive back for the Bruins. Alosi was reportedly animated with Justin and threw him out of practice because he wasn’t putting forth a reasonable effort.

There are always two sides to a story, but it’s hard to imagine Diddy was the victim after he marched into Alosi’s office and was later arrested on five charges.
